University of New Brunswick Rose Garden

A gift to the University of New Brunswick, the Rose Garden will be a new gem in the school’s repertoire of campus landscapes. The garden is an outdoor room, with bench seating for quiet contemplation, study, and relaxation. Working with local nurseries, Brackish developed a planting plan of hardy rose cultivars that maximizes bloom time across the entire growing season. The central rose parterre is surrounded by a woodland garden edge. A carefully considered hierarchy of paths accommodates current circulation networks while establishing a formal geometry for the garden as a whole.
